How foreigners view this event
Liechtenstein representative
River water stinks, lots of rubbish
"This is our sixth time participating, and the atmosphere this year is not as lively as last year. The feeling of racing in the harbor is always better, and the water quality of Shing Mun River doesn't seem very good. Besides the bad smell, there are also many dead fish and garbage floating."

Lack of English information
"We only knew about this event when we saw dragon boat practices in Stanley before. There are also few English instructions and information on site, making people feel this competition is exclusively set up for Chinese. Also, the organizers didn't provide stands, so short spectators don't know what to do."
